Laila Ali and her husband, former NFL star Curtis Conway, are expecting their first child together, she confirms exclusively to Essence magazine. "I don't know yet if we are having a boy or a girl, but I'm excited that I have a life inside me that my husband and I created," Ali says in the May issue, which hits newsstands April 11.
The boxing champ, who co-hosts American Gladiators, and Conway married last July in the rose garden of the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey, Calif. Among the 200 guests were Laila's parents, Muhammad Ali and Veronica Porsche Anderson, along with her sister Hana Ali, who was a bridesmaid.

Robin Williams's wife has filed for divorce after 19 years of marriage, the actor's rep, Mara Buxbaum, has confirmed to PEOPLE. Marsha Garces Williams filed a divorce petition in San Francisco on March 21, citing irreconcilable differences, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. The pair have two children together: daughter Zelda, 18, and son Cody, 16.
Garces, 51, and Williams, 56, wed in April 1989, shortly after the actor's divorce from his previous wife. According to the eight-page court filing, Garces is asking for joint legal custody of Cody – that the boy live with her and Williams get visitation – as well as payment of attorney fees and spousal support (amount to be determined).

Richie Sambora was arrested on a DUI charge in Laguna Beach, Calif., Tuesday night after he was pulled over with his girlfriend and 10-year-old daughter in the car.
The Bon Jovi guitarist was stopped around 10:52 p.m. after police said they spotted him weaving on the road, according Laguna Beach Police Sgt. Jason Kravetz tells PEOPLE. Sambora was driving a Hummer and was with his girlfriend, daughter Ava (whose mother is ex-wife Heather Locklear) and another unidentified juvenile girl.
Sambora was given a blood alcohol test – "He smelled of alcohol," Kravetz says – and he was "quiet and cooperative and he didn't cause any problems," he added.
Sambora was later released from custody on his own recognizance at about 4 a.m. He is scheduled to appear in court for arraignment on May 7.

Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas is penning the pilot for the CW’s spinoff Beverly Hills, 90210, and though he didn’t mention the do-good Walsh family from the original made famous in the ’90s, he revealed some details about the new family.
“The guy who gets hired as the new principal brings his family of four from Kansas to Beverly Hills. The principal, himself, graduated from West Beverly High School,” he said. “The grandmother — the principal’s mother — is a Julie Christie-like actress who is once again going into rehab.”
The principal is “reluctantly” moving back to his old stamping grounds and bringing his wife, son and daughter with him, he said. Don’t expect to find everyone gathered at the counter of The Peach Pit, at least not in the pilot, Thomas said, but he hopes to bring the ’50s-style diner popularized in the original version into future episodes of the show.
Of course, the children from the Midwest won’t be living off their parent’s credit cards. “I think, one or both sibling’s jobs will be at a movie theater,” Thomas said. Since it is a spinoff, is there any chance we’ll be running into Brandon, Kelly or Dillon? “There is a plan for bringing back one of the cast members,” but he said he didn’t know which one because “we haven’t talked to any of them.”

Patrick Swayze's doctor is optimistic about his prognosis for battling pancreatic cancer, and the "Dirty Dancing" actor's upcoming cable pilot is still in contention to become a series.
With the writer's strike over, the A&E pilot "The Beast," starring Swayze as an unorthodox FBI agent, is being considered to be turned into a series by the cable network. If that happens, the "Dirty Dancing" and "Ghost" star hopes to continue to be part of the show, his representative Annett Wolf told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
Swayze has been undergoing treatment for the disease, Wolf confirmed in a statement. The National Cancer Institute estimates there will be 37,680 new cases of pancreatic cancer in 2008 with 34,290 deaths in the U.S.; only five percent of patients live more than five years after being diagnosed.

In an interview with the National Enquirer, Christiane Plante, best friend to Hulk’s daughter, Brooke, confessed to being the other woman.
“My relationship with Terry began at a time when Terry and Linda privately knew their marriage was ending,” Christiane told the tabloid. “She had left him already, although no official papers had been filed.” The actual status of Terry and Linda’s relationship at the time is up for debate. Hulk claimed he was “shocked” to learn of his wife’s plan to divorce him when papers were eventually filed in November of last year.
As for Christiane’s friendship with Brooke, that relationship may be over as well. “Having felt the guilt and pain build up, I gave a note to Brooke apologizing for my actions,” Christiane said. “I will never be able to fully forgive myself for this. I have lost an amazing friend.” In a message posted to her MySpace blog a week ago, Brooke stated, “I’m going through one of the hardest issues I’ve ever had to deal with in my life … please keep me and my family in your prayers.”
